Course Description
The PADI Divemaster course at Tenerife Scuba is your essential first step into professional diving, transforming your passion into a potential career. This comprehensive program, led by experienced instructors Enrique or Giedre, significantly expands your diving knowledge and refines your skills to a professional standard. You will develop crucial leadership abilities, preparing you to supervise dive activities and assist PADI Instructors with student divers. This certification is a prerequisite for further professional development, including Assistant Instructor and Open Water Scuba Instructor ratings.
To begin your journey, you must be at least 18 years old and possess a minimum of 40 logged dives, with 60 dives required to complete the certification. A current Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care certificate, or equivalent, obtained within the last two years, is also mandatory. The course demands a commitment of 2 to 3 weeks, covering extensive theoretical knowledge development, rigorous water skills exercises, practical skill assessments, and essential dives conducted from both boat and beach.
Divemaster training encompasses a wide array of critical topics and practical workshops. You will master the role and characteristics of a Divemaster, learn to effectively supervise dives, understand risk management strategies, practice dive site mapping, conduct professional dive briefings, and gain experience assisting with introductory programs like Discover Scuba Diving. Tenerife Scuba provides equipment use if needed during the course. Please note that the PADI Divemaster Crew-Pack is a separate purchase, and PADI application and certification fees are paid directly to PADI.
This professional-level training at Tenerife Scuba is designed to build your confidence and competence in a real-world diving environment. The instructors' personal attention ensures you receive guidance tailored to your development. Upon completion, you'll be ready to embark on a professional diving career, whether guiding certified divers or supporting dive education.
