Advanced Open Water
Offered by Lutterworth Sub-Aqua Club
Lutterworth, England
Course Description
The Advanced Diver course at LSAC, located in the UK, is designed to build upon your existing open water skills. This program typically involves five open water dives, extending your depth limit to 30 meters, allowing you to explore more challenging underwater environments. You will refine essential diving techniques, learn about advanced navigation, and gain experience with different dive planning scenarios. The curriculum emphasizes practical application, ensuring you develop greater confidence and competence in various diving conditions. LSAC offers certification through multiple recognized agencies including PADI, BSAC, CMAS, IANTD, IDEA, and RAID, providing flexibility in your diver training pathway.
While specific dive site details are best confirmed directly with LSAC, UK diving often features a rich marine ecosystem, including kelp forests, shipwrecks, and diverse fish species. The water temperature in the UK can vary significantly throughout the year, typically ranging from around 8-12°C in winter months to 15-20°C during the summer. Visibility can also fluctuate, influenced by weather and tidal conditions, but often provides opportunities to observe the local underwater life. The center operates in English and Spanish, catering to a broader range of international divers.
