Course Description

The SieteMares First Aid and Oxygen Administration specialty course equips divers with critical skills for managing diving-related emergencies. This vital training is a prerequisite for advancing to professional diving levels, such as Divemaster, emphasizing SieteMares' commitment to diver safety and preparedness. The curriculum covers assessing situations, providing immediate care for common injuries, and managing medical emergencies until professional help arrives. A key focus is recognizing and responding to diving-specific illnesses like decompression sickness and lung overexpansion injuries.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in administering emergency oxygen, learning precisely when and how to provide this life-saving intervention. Prompt oxygen administration can significantly improve outcomes for injured divers, a skill honed through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises. SieteMares ensures you are prepared to act confidently and competently in any emergency scenario, empowering you as a first responder in the diving community.

The course content is directly applicable to the local diving conditions. While specific dive site data is not provided, the climate information for the region indicates a wide range of water temperatures throughout the year, from 11.5°C in December to 26.6°C in August. This variability means divers must be prepared for different thermal conditions and potential dive-related issues, making the first aid and oxygen administration training particularly relevant.

SieteMares offers this specialty certification through recognized agencies like PADI and SSI, ensuring a globally respected standard of training. The center's commitment to diver education is evident in its inclusion of this essential course, preparing individuals not only for immediate emergency response but also for the responsibilities that come with higher diving certifications. Mastering these skills is fundamental for any diver serious about safety and continuing their underwater education.
