Drift Diver course
Offered by Copperband Scuba Academy
Pattaya, Chon Buri Province
Course Description
The Drift Diver specialty course at Copper Mountain Scuba offers a thrilling way to experience underwater environments by utilizing ocean currents. This PADI specialty is designed to teach you the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, and hazards of drift diving. You will learn how to safely and efficiently navigate with the current, making your dives feel more like flying. The course typically involves two open water dives, allowing you to practice these new skills in real-world conditions. Copper Mountain Scuba is a RAID and SSI certified center, providing flexibility in your certification path.
While specific dive site details for the Drift Diver course are best confirmed directly with Copper Mountain Scuba, drift diving is often conducted in areas with predictable currents, such as channels or along reef walls. The waters around the center's location generally offer good visibility, though this can vary with weather conditions. The marine life encountered will depend on the specific dive sites chosen for the practical training, but the region is known for its diverse underwater ecosystems. The center operates in a location where diving is possible year-round, with water temperatures suitable for diving with appropriate exposure protection.
