Freediving

Kron Diving runs SSI Freediving from its base in Kampor Bay, with Ralf holding SSI Freediving Instructor certification. The bay at Kampor provides a sheltered environment for breath-hold training — controlled conditions for working on technique before moving to open water.

The center also offers Apnoe (apnea) and Mermaiding courses alongside the freediving program, which broadens the range of people who can participate. The combination of freediving and Mermaiding courses means families or groups with mixed interests can all be accommodated at the same base on the same day.

Ralf has been diving since 1993 and has worked at the center since 1999. His background includes rebreather and Trimix diving alongside freediving instruction, which gives an unusual breadth of underwater experience to draw on when teaching breath-hold techniques.

The island of Rab's clear Adriatic water and the range of dive sites accessible by boat make it a practical setting for progressing from pool and bay freediving into open water depth work. Contact the center directly for current program details and scheduling.
