Discover Scuba Diving

Urban Nomad Adventure offers the PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program, an introductory experience to the underwater world for beginners. This program is designed for individuals aged 10 and above, including non-swimmers, requiring no prior diving experience. Participants will learn fundamental scuba skills in a controlled pool environment before embarking on an open water dive. The program is overseen by certified PADI instructors, ensuring a safe and engaging introduction to diving. Urban Nomad Adventure provides this experience with a focus on comfort and enjoyment, allowing participants to explore marine life up to a depth of 12 meters.

The DSD program at Urban Nomad Adventure typically spans 4-6 hours and includes essential training components. It begins with a brief orientation covering dive theory, safety procedures, and hand signals, followed by a mandatory 45-minute pool session. This practical session allows participants to master basic skills in shallow water. Upon successful completion of the pool training, the group proceeds to a dive site, specifically mentioning the UNA reef, for an open water dive. Dive times can range from 15 to 40 minutes, depending on the chosen package: Lite, Premium, or Deluxe. The Deluxe package notably includes unlimited photos and videos.

Urban Nomad Adventure offers three distinct DSD packages to cater to different preferences and budgets. All packages include pool training, equipment rental, instructor fees, and a PADI DSD Participation Certificate. Boat charges and refreshments are also part of the inclusions. While complimentary photos and videos are offered, their provision is subject to safety considerations and prevailing ocean conditions. An additional 18% GST is applicable to all package prices. For those seeking to maximize their ocean time, completing the pool session a day prior is recommended, as ocean conditions are often calmer earlier in the day.
