Open Water Diver
Offered by Urban Nomad Unbound Adventure
Ramanathapuram, Puducherry
Course Description
The PADI Open Water Diver course at Urban Nomad Adventure is your gateway to exploring the underwater world, certifying you to dive independently to depths of up to 18 meters worldwide. This foundational certification is typically completed over three to four immersive days, providing a comprehensive understanding of dive theory, equipment, and essential skills. Urban Nomad Adventure offers flexible packages, including Lite, Premium, and Deluxe, to suit your comfort level and prior experience. The Deluxe package, taught by a PADI Course Director, includes an additional fun dive and is particularly beneficial for those seeking extra reassurance.
Your training begins with knowledge development, which can often be completed via PADI e-learning before your arrival, followed by confined water sessions. In a controlled pool environment, you will master crucial skills such as assembling your gear, underwater communication, and buoyancy control. The course culminates in four open water dives, where you'll apply and refine these newly acquired abilities in real diving conditions under the direct supervision of your instructor. Urban Nomad Adventure is flexible with scheduling, allowing courses to be spread out or utilizing PADI's referral system for your convenience.
To begin your PADI Open Water Diver journey, you must be at least 10 years old, with specific depth limitations for divers aged 10-12. A prerequisite swim test, involving a 10-minute float or swim and a 200-meter swim, ensures you are comfortable in the water. The course price varies by package, with GST applied additionally. All necessary training materials, equipment rental, certification fees, and boat charges are included, ensuring a hassle-free learning experience. Urban Nomad Adventure prioritizes building your confidence at your own pace, guaranteeing a safe and enjoyable progression.
