Under the expert guidance of Ravenna Sub's instructors, you will gain invaluable experience and refine your abilities, preparing you for more complex and rewarding underwater explorations. The course focuses on practical application, ensuring you develop the confidence and competence to handle diverse diving scenarios.

This advanced program comprises five specialized Adventure Dives, each tailored to introduce specific diving skills and challenges. A core component is the Deep Dive, where you will learn the critical planning and safety procedures for descending to greater depths, up to a maximum of 30 meters (100 feet). Complementing this is the Underwater Navigation dive, which sharpens your ability to navigate effectively using both compass and natural references. The remaining dives can be tailored to your interests and local conditions, potentially including night diving, drift diving, wreck exploration, or underwater photography.

Ravenna Sub's commitment to diver development is evident in their approach to the Advanced Open Water Diver course. Instructors emphasize thorough planning, risk management, and the precise execution of techniques for each specialty dive. This hands-on experience is crucial for building a versatile and self-assured diver, capable of comfortably exploring a wider range of underwater landscapes and conditions. The certification achieved upon completion opens up a significant number of dive sites previously inaccessible, broadening your horizons for future adventures.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters (100 feet). This expanded depth limit unlocks access to a multitude of dive sites that were previously beyond your reach, including deeper reefs, wrecks, and walls. The skills and knowledge acquired are directly applicable to further specialized diving courses and real-world diving experiences, making this certification a pivotal step in your continuing diver education. It prepares you for more challenging dives and enhances your overall appreciation of the underwater world.
