Open Water Diver

Whatever your reasons for wanting to dive, this course is where your adventure begins to come true. Become a PADI Open Water Diver qualified to dive independently with your buddy and start making your dreams come true.

The PADI Open Water Diver course is open to anyone who is fit and capable of swimming 200 meters in a depth that does not allow us to stand up. They must be a minimum age of 10 on the first day of their course.

academic part

The first part is learning and studying the basics that govern diving. This includes reading 5 chapters of the PADI Go-Dive Manual, a book that we will provide you. It may seem like a lot, but this book is full of images and diagrams. Plus think it's designed for 10 year olds! 🙂

At the end of each chapter you will find some questions to review the knowledge acquired, so you have a total of 5 to complete. Then they will ask you to answer 4 questionnaires with 10 multiple choice multiple choice questions.

At the end, there is a final multiple choice exam with 50 questions. If you think that will take up too much time from your well-deserved vacation, you can always opt for the eLearning option of the Open Water Diver course.

Confined water training

During this session you are going to get wet without a doubt. You will spend the day submerged in the pool that we have next to our diving center. You will learn all the skills and knowledge necessary to dive safely and allow you to explore the underwater world. In total, you will practice until you master 22 skills!

If your time is short, consider taking the PADI Referral Open Water Diver course, in which you can do the theoretical part and the training in confined waters in a diving center in your own town, and come to the beautiful waters of Menorca and to our dive center. diving in S'Algar to do the 4 dives in open water.

Open Water Dives

As part of the course we will take you out there to dive with all the fish and marine animals that we have in our ecosystems. So the next step of your course will be to do open sea dives, in which you will have to practice and show the skills learned in the pool while diving surrounded by marine life.
