Closed Circuit Rebreather Training
Offered by Libertas Scuba Stirling
Stirling, Scotland
Course Description
Libertas Scuba Stirling specializes in advanced technical diving training, offering comprehensive Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) courses. These programs are designed for experienced divers aiming to master rebreather technology, which allows for extended bottom times and a more immersive underwater experience compared to traditional open-circuit scuba. The curriculum covers essential skills, operational procedures, and critical safety protocols unique to rebreather diving.
The training at Libertas Scuba Stirling progresses through various levels, including the foundational Rebreather Diver course, followed by Advanced Rebreather Diver (Air Deco) and Technical Mixed Gas certifications. For those pushing the boundaries, the Fundamentals Mixed Gas course extends capabilities to depths of 48-60 meters. These advanced certifications require a solid understanding of technical diving principles and are delivered by highly experienced instructors, such as Master Diving Instructor Ian Reid, who brings decades of expertise with AP rebreathers.
Beyond CCR certification, Libertas Scuba Stirling also provides crucial technician training, such as Nitrox Gas Blender and Advanced Gas Blender courses. This dual focus ensures divers are not only proficient in operating advanced equipment but also in managing the gases required for technical dives. The center is affiliated with SSI, a globally recognized certification agency, ensuring that your training meets international standards.
While specific dive site details and environmental data like water temperature and visibility are not provided in the input, the advanced nature of CCR diving implies training will occur in environments suitable for technical exploration. The focus on mixed gas and deco procedures suggests dives will likely be conducted at depths requiring careful planning and execution, often from shore or specialized support vessels depending on the specific course module and location accessibility.
Libertas Scuba Stirling offers instruction in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, and Italian, catering to a diverse range of international students. This multilingual approach ensures that divers can receive instruction in their preferred language, enhancing the learning experience and safety. The center's commitment to specialized technical training positions it as a key resource for divers looking to advance their skills in the demanding field of rebreather diving.
