Course Description
The Assistant Instructor course at Woodbridge SCUBA is designed for experienced Divemasters seeking to advance their professional diving careers. This program bridges the gap between Divemaster and Open Water Instructor, focusing on developing essential teaching abilities and leadership skills. Participants will learn how to effectively assist in training new divers and gain a solid foundation for future instructor development.
This intensive course, scheduled for evening sessions on Tuesdays throughout May and June 2026, delves into instructional techniques and dive theory. You will practice presenting knowledge development topics, demonstrating skills, and supervising students under direct instructor guidance. The curriculum emphasizes mastering effective teaching methodologies and adhering to stringent safety protocols.
Candidates will acquire practical experience assisting with various diver training programs, from introductory levels to advanced specialties. The goal is to build confidence in teaching and leadership, preparing you to effectively support dive instructors and manage training activities. A strong grasp of diving principles and excellent in-water proficiency are prerequisites for success in this program.

Requirements
- Edad mínima: 10 años (Open Water Junior) o 15 años (Open Water completo)
- Saber nadar 200 m sin parar (estilo libre, espalda o braza)
- Mantenerse a flote 10 minutos sin apoyo
- No padecer claustrofobia ni asma severa
- Cuestionario médico firmado (PADI) — si hay duda, certificado médico
- Si tienes lentillas o gafas, comunicarlo al inscribirte
