Brief description of the Course This is PADI's flagship course and guarantees you the ability to dive to a depth of 18 meters without the supervision of a Divemaster, Assistant Instructor or Instructor, along with being able to rent equipment on 5 continents. The course contains two clearly differentiated parts, online theory and practice that can be done in at least 3 and a half days. These parts are explained below. Online Theory (approximately 8 hours) It includes the 5 theory modules of the Open Water manual, supported by video sessions on the PADI e-learning platform, together with the exercises that you must complete at the end of each section. Once you have finished the theory you will take an online exam (99.99% of students pass it). Practice Pool/Confined Water: 5 sessions in the pool or in confined water (approx. 2 m deep bay) where the Instructor will teach you the functionality of your equipment, you will perform exercises such as controlling your buoyancy with the vest, removing the mask under the water and the regulator, together with other exercises that will provide you with the knowledge for a safe and adequate response in real situations. Open water: You will carry out 4 supervised dives in open water to a maximum depth of 18 mt in the last two, where you will practice the exercises learned and put theory into practice in the sea, these dives are carried out from our boat. Duration The duration of the course may vary depending on your availability and learning capacity, but a minimum of 3 days is required to complete it, as shown below and as a guide. First, we will send you the codes to access the online platform so that you can get to section 3 and fill in the questions at the end of the section or, if you wish, finish all the theory online and the final exam.
