SCS

The Subaquatic Club de Strasbourg (SCS), located in Illkirch-Graffenstaden, France, is a diving club with a long history dating back to its establishment in 1976. Certified by SSI and CMAS/FFESSM, it offers a comprehensive range of courses, including Enriched Air Nitrox, Instructor Development Course, Technical Diving, Boat Diving, Deep Diver, and Moniteur Fédéral. The club provides WiFi, a bar, a swimming pool, and equipment rental, along with air and nitrox fills.

The SCS facilities are situated beneath the Hardt swimming pool in Illkirch, near Lac Achard, and include an air and nitrox compressor, a bar, and a meeting room. Training sessions take place at the Hardt swimming pool on Wednesday evenings (October-May) for courses, freediving, and swimming, and at the Schiltigheim dive tank on Thursday evenings (even weeks, October-May) for practices up to 4 meters deep.

For enthusiasts of the natural environment, the club organizes dives and swimming on Sunday mornings throughout the year, with additional sessions on Wednesday evenings from May onwards in local gravel pits. The SCS also offers complimentary introductory dives, supervised by certified FFESSM instructors, and courses for all levels, from Level 1 to 3, as well as freediving courses and instructor training.

The club distinguishes itself through its dedication to technical training and underwater exploration, providing its members with opportunities to advance their skills and explore the underwater world in a safe and welcoming setting. It also offers recreational diving courses in a pool environment, emphasizing safety and proper equipment usage.
