About the Center

The Club Subaquatique de Châteauroux (CSC), founded on June 3, 1980, is an organization dedicated to underwater and water activities in Châteauroux, France. With a rich history dating back to the early days of diving in the region, the CSC has established itself as a key activity hub, offering training and experiences for both beginners and seasoned divers. The club is affiliated with the FFESSM, under number 27360338, and also holds SSI certification, ensuring the quality and international recognition of its training.

The CSC's facilities include WiFi, a bar, accommodation, a swimming pool, and equipment rental, making it a convenient location for its members. Its course offerings include Freediving, Boat Diving, and Federal Monitor training. They also provide air and nitrox fills for their divers. The club's history is marked by the active participation of long-standing members, some of whom remain involved in the organization and training, ensuring continuity and knowledge transfer to new generations.

The club's location in Châteauroux allows access to various training and practice sites. From its early days, with training in outdoor pools and even at military bases, the CSC has evolved. Currently, its training sessions are primarily held at the new Balsan'éo aquatic center, a modern facility that hosts all diving and whitewater swimming training sessions. This adaptation to new facilities reinforces its commitment to a high-quality experience for its members.
