Marenostrumdivers, located in the picturesque La Herradura, Mexico, is a PADI and SSI certified dive center. Anyone who passes a medical examination can dive, within the limits of their certification. If you have any doubts, just call us and we will resolve them.
In Granada, you can do a baptism with us from 12 years old, and from 14 years old you can take your first diving course (Open Water Junior).
As with any aquatic activity, you should have basic swimming skills. However, in diving, we always use a buoyancy compensator that keeps us afloat on the surface. Therefore, you don't need to be a great swimmer to practice diving, but you do need basic notions.

Yes, you can dive all year round. We encourage diving in winter, as we have the means for you to enjoy the tranquility of La Herradura bay without getting cold during your dives, thanks to our dry suits.
You are breathing the same air you breathe daily. The only difference is that it has been captured by our center's compressor, passed through filters, and pressurized into diving tanks.
For the OWD (Open Water Diver) course, we believe the best time is around Easter or shortly after. This period is less influenced by the summer tourist crowds, and by the summer holidays, you will already have your certification to enjoy diving paradises worldwide.
