About the Center
AREA11 DIVING CENTER, located in La Maddalena, Italy, is a dive center with over 20 years of experience, specializing in exploring the rich seabeds of the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park and the Strait of Bonifacio Nature Reserve.
Certified by SSI and TDI, they offer a wide range of courses, from Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Diver to more advanced training in Freediving, Technical Diving, and Instructor Development. Their activities also include guided snorkeling tours, boat dives, and dolphin watching, led by a professional team that includes marine biologists.
The center boasts comprehensive facilities such as showers, lockers, a restaurant, a bar, accommodation, and a dive shop, in addition to equipment rental and air fills (nitrox). Prova Immersioni Subacquee / SSI Basic Diver
Il corso Try Scuba Diving / SSI Basic Diver presso Area 11 Diver ti introduce al mondo subacqueo con una immersione guidata fino a 12 metri di profondità. Questo programma di circa 3 ore include un briefing teorico iniziale, la prova dell'attrezzatura subacquea e il supporto costante di istruttori qualificati SSI. È un'ottima opportunità per chi ha più di 10 anni e nessuna esperienza precedente, offrendo la possibilità di accreditare questa esperienza per futuri corsi come Open Water Diver o Scuba Diver. L'immersione si svolge in un ambiente controllato, garantendo sicurezza e divertimento fin dal primo momento. Le acque intorno all'area di immersione offrono temperature variabili durante l'anno, con una media annuale di circa 17.4°C. Apnea Base ALS
The ALS Basic Freediving course at Area 11 Diver is the ideal starting point for those who wish to explore the underwater world with calm and awareness. This entry-level program, focused on breathing and freediving management, teaches you the fundamental techniques to increase your underwater endurance safely and relaxed. Practical sessions take place in protected waters, allowing you to concentrate on learning breathing and relaxation methods, essential for fully enjoying the marine environment. Area 11 Diver, affiliated with recognized certifications such as CMAS, NAUI, and SSI, guarantees a structured and high-quality training path, preparing you for future underwater adventures. Freediving takes place in a favorable environmental context, with water temperatures ranging from 12.1 °C in January to 27.5 °C in August, making practice possible for a good part of the year. The average annual sea temperature stands at 17.4 °C, suggesting the use of appropriate wetsuits in the colder months.
