About the Center
The Dive Gurus is an exclusive adventure boutique located in La Paz, Mexico, offering guided dive trips and scuba training from basic open water through to Instructor and technical diving. It stands as La Paz's only PADI Five Star Instructor Development Facility. Their store is situated in Marina Palmira, with dive sites focused in and around all the islands of La Paz, particularly the Espiritu Santo Marine Park, recognized as one of the best-managed protected areas globally.
With a philosophy centered on training and sustainability, The Dive Gurus constantly strives to enhance interactions with the underwater environment. They offer courses certified by PADI, SSI, and IANTD, including Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, and the Instructor Development Course. Additionally, they provide support for film crews, scientists, and CCR divers, alongside TDI courses. Their renown stems from expeditions and photo & video workshops.
Facilities include lockers, a bar, accommodation, and premium equipment rental (Fourth Element, Apeks, Shearwater). Dive services encompass boat diving, night diving, and guided dives with small groups (maximum 4 or 6 guided divers per boat) to ensure an intimate and breathtaking experience. Nitrox is included for all guided divers and in all courses. The Dive Gurus is a recognized leader in sustainability, being the first dive center in La Paz to receive the PADI Eco Award in collaboration with Green Fins, and they eliminate single-use plastics in their operations.
With over 22 years of experience living and working in La Paz, The Dive Gurus has become a chosen expedition leader and logistics expert for renowned institutions such as the BBC Natural History Unit, Netflix, Disney, and the National Geographic Society. Their expertise is reflected in recent credits on productions like 'Our Planet 1 & 2', 'Planet Earth 3', and 'Postcards from Earth' for MSG Sphere. They specialize in recreational scuba training and are the sole technical diving school in the Sea of Cortez, offering private classes and workshops.

Sí. Te pediremos demostrar 200 m de nado continuo (estilo libre) y 10 minutos flotando sin apoyo. No exigimos cronómetro, solo soltura en agua.
Si el centro cancela por condiciones del mar, te reasignamos sin coste extra a la siguiente fecha disponible. La decisión la toma el instructor jefe a las 7:00 del día de la salida.
Con lentillas blandas, sin problema. Si llevas gafas, ofrecemos máscaras graduadas estándar (-1 a -8 dioptrías) por 15 € de alquiler/día.
Sí, somos PADI Kids Centre. Desde los 8 años con el Bubblemaker (en piscina, hasta 2 m) y desde los 10 con el Open Water Junior.
No, tu carnet PADI/SSI es vitalicio. Sí recomendamos un curso de repaso ("Scuba Tune-Up") si llevas más de 12 meses sin bucear.
