Valentina Liveaboard, based in La Paz, Mexico, provides exceptional diving experiences in the Sea of Cortez and Socorro Island. Certified by PADI and SSI, the dive center offers a range of courses including Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air Nitrox, Instructor Development Course, and Boat Diving, catering to divers of all levels.
The facilities at Valentina Liveaboard are designed for diver comfort, featuring lockers, a bar, and equipment rental. They offer Nitrox air fills and organize boat diving, shore diving, and night diving, in addition to guided dives to maximize every underwater exploration. Their boat ensures a pleasant and comfortable stay.
Key destinations include the Sea of Cortez, renowned for large pelagics such as whale sharks, large schools of hammerheads, and 100% sea lion encounters, as well as being a hotspot for golden cownose rays and mobula rays. Expeditions to Socorro Island in the Revillagigedo Islands are also offered, celebrated for its unique ecosystem and diverse flora, fauna, and topography, with opportunities to observe sharks, giant manta rays, and more.

What people ask before booking
Check-in is available between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., with boarding recommended between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. All guests must be on board by 8:45 p.m. as the MV Valentina departs that evening. Luggage drop-off is available from 9:00 a.m. Dinner on arrival day is not included. Check-out is around 4:00 p.m. on the final day.
Check-in is available after 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Marina Puerto Los Cabos. The boat departs around 6:00 p.m. Dinner on the arrival date is included. Check-out is around 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on the last day. Flights from SJD Airport should depart after noon.
Yes, Nitrox is available at an additional charge for certified divers. Prices vary per day or week for Sea of Cortez and Socorro Island trips. Larger tanks (100 ft3) with Nitrox are also available at a higher cost.
Tanks, weights, and weight belts are provided. Divers are responsible for bringing their certification card, dive insurance card, log book, mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy control device, regulator with alternate air source, submersible pressure and depth gauges, dive computer (required), dive light, tank marker lights, wetsuit (3-5mm for Sea of Cortez, 5-7mm for Socorro), safety sausage, and reef hook if needed.
For Sea of Cortez trips, Open Water Diver certification is required. For Socorro Islands/Revillagigedo trips, Advanced Open Water certification and at least 50 logged dives are required due to the remote location and challenging conditions. Nitrox certification is highly recommended for Socorro.
For Sea of Cortez, there is a Park Fee ($75-$90 USD per person/day) and a Fuel Surcharge ($25 USD per person/night). For Socorro Island, there is a Park Fee (approx. $235 USD per person/day), a Chamber Fee ($15 USD per person/trip), and a Fuel Surcharge ($25 USD per person/night). Prices are subject to change.
