About the Center
AMETLLA DIVING, located in L'Ametlla de Mar, Tarragona, is a dive center certified by PADI and SSI. It offers a comprehensive range of courses, from Discover Scuba Diving for beginners to professional levels such as Divemaster and Instructor Development Course (IDC), including specialties like Enriched Air Nitrox, technical diving, and adapted diving.
Facilities include free parking, lockers, a bar with a chill-out area, and a dive equipment shop. Ametlla Diving also provides equipment rental, air and nitrox fills, and has both a physical and online store. Activities encompass shore dives, boat dives, and night dives, with varying depths for all levels, from 7-18 meters to deep dives up to 52 meters.

TRY DIVING
For us, a try dive is not a throwaway activity. The first dive should be, and is, an experience in itself. The first time that we all have contact with the diving equipment, that we are completely surrounded by water... and we continue to breathe!, that we see the fish in our same dimension... everything becomes a unique experience that will mark us for the rest of our lives. … For this reason, we consider our baptism diving in Tarragona as the first part of a diving course. Our baptism dives, which follow the international standards of the PADI organization, consist of: 1 theory talk, before the dive 1 dive in the sea, from the beach
OPEN WATER DIVER
Do you want to become a diver? Well this is your course! The Open Water Diver course is the first step to become a fish underwater. This course consists of two parts: theory and practicals. Now you can do the theoretical part from home with PADI e-Learning, comfortably and at your own pace and come to the center with this part done, or do it in the center. The second part is practice and consists of 5 dives: – 1 immersion in confined water (a pool or a beach with similar conditions). – 2 open water dives in one of the dream coves of l’Ametlla de Mar – 2 open water dives from the boat. Once you finish the practices and the theoretical part, you will be certified as an Open Water Diver and you will be able to: dive anywhere in the world, since PADI is the most recognized diving organization in the world, go down to 18 m and above all, you can become in fish whenever you want.
RESCUE DIVER
This course should be mandatory for all divers, since we not only learn rescue techniques when an accident has occurred, but, most importantly, we learn to prevent these possible accidents by observing other divers and by the techniques that we work in our programs. The Rescue Diver Course includes: e-Learning or Physics Theory 5 rescue training sessions 2 rescue drills Certification
DIVEMASTER
With this AmetllaDiving PADI Divemaster program you will be part, as a professional, of the largest diving teaching organization in the world, PADI. It is convenient to remember that you need to make your way in the professional world with the best possible teaching, like the one we offer at AmetllaDiving thanks to the integration system that we use in this program and that allows you to work side by side with the Instructors of our Diving Center to better assimilate not only the theoretical teaching but all the practical aspects of the world of diving, and improve your diving techniques, such as mastering stationary flotation effortlessly and improving your rescue techniques so that you anticipate and easily solve the most common problems. You will increase your knowledge of diving, your management and supervision skills so that you become a role model for divers around the world. As a PADI Divemaster, you will guide other divers as you supervise diving activities and assist with diver training. Whether you want to work in a remote dive destination or close to home at a local dive business, the adventure of a lifetime awaits. FIRST AID (EFR)
At Ametlla Diving we follow the first aid training system or EFR (Emergency First Response). Our courses last about 8 teaching hours, in which we do the following practices: - Primary Evaluation - Use of barriers - Choking - Cardiopulmonary resuscitation - Use of Automatic Defibrillator - Control of hemorrhages and damage to the spine - Bandages - Splints The course includes: PADI Physical Theory Practices in Basic Life Support and DEA Diving Insurance PADI certification
Open Water Diver
