About the Center
Calypso Diving, located in the charming coastal town of L'Estartit, Spain, is a dive center boasting nearly 40 years of family-run experience, led by Peter Lane and his wife Jacqueline, who is also a Divemaster. The center is certified by both PADI and SSI, offering a comprehensive range of courses from beginner levels like 'Discover Scuba Diving' and discovery dives to professional programs such as Divemaster and Instructor Development Course. They also specialize in technical diving and boat diving.
The facilities at Calypso Diving include lockers, WiFi, a bar, accommodation, equipment rental, a dive shop, air fills (nitrox), and boat diving services. Daily excursions are provided to the Montgrí Natural Park, the Medes Islands, and the coastline, featuring night dives and guided dives.
Calypso Diving's commitment to environmental conservation is a cornerstone of their operation. They are a proud partner of Europarc's 'European Charter for Sustainable Tourism' (CETS) and an ambassador center for Longitude 181, holding the PADI Green Star™ award. Furthermore, they possess the 'Environmental Quality Guarantee Mark' from the Generalitat de Catalunya and a certificate for continuously monitoring their carbon footprint, consistently working to improve their processes and reduce their environmental impact.
Language is not a barrier, as the team communicates fluently in seven languages: Spanish, Catalan, German, Dutch, French, Russian, and English. Calypso Diving offers airport transfers and features a dedicated dive base with amenities for equipment storage, washing, and drying, as well as equipment transportation to and from the port.

Sí. Te pediremos demostrar 200 m de nado continuo (estilo libre) y 10 minutos flotando sin apoyo. No exigimos cronómetro, solo soltura en agua.
Si el centro cancela por condiciones del mar, te reasignamos sin coste extra a la siguiente fecha disponible. La decisión la toma el instructor jefe a las 7:00 del día de la salida.
