BEYOND THE SURFACE, located in Pingtung County, Taiwan, is an SSI-certified dive center. This center offers a diverse range of courses, including the Instructor Development Course, Freediving, Boat Diving, and Wreck Diver specialties. Its facilities include a bar, accommodation, equipment rental, air fills (including nitrox), and opportunities for both boat and shore diving.

Divers can explore the lesser-known facets of Hengchun Peninsula, as highlighted by the dive center, focusing on its rich marine environment. The region benefits from the Kuroshio Current, providing visibility exceeding 20 meters and comfortable water temperatures during specific times of the year. The Houbihu area, known as the "Miracle Sea Area" for its biodiversity, is situated less than 30 meters from the shore, boasting rich coral reef ecosystems.

BEYOND THE SURFACE also features notable dive sites such as Seven Stars Rock, approximately 8.6 nautical miles offshore from Hengchun, which offers consistent visibility of over 30 meters due to the Kuroshio Current and is known for steep cliffs, sea fans, white-tip reef sharks, and jackfish storms. Another key location is Chuanfan Rock, a landmark accessible by both shore and boat dives, offering the chance to witness seasonal sardine runs.
