What people ask before booking
The minimum age for Snorkeling Tour and Discover Scuba Diving is 8 years old. For the Open Water Diver course, it is 12 years old. For Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver courses, it is also 12 years old. For Divemaster, it is 18 years old.
The Discover Scuba Diving course includes all diving equipment, transportation from your hotel (if available and within the specified area), and a Certificate of Completion. It also includes diving insurance.
To enroll in the Advanced Open Water Diver course, you need to have a PADI Open Water certification or an equivalent. The minimum age is 12 years old, and you must be in good health, without breathing, heart, or ear problems. Pregnant individuals and those planning to fly within 12 hours after diving should not participate.
Tenerife's waters are home to a variety of marine life. During snorkeling and diving activities, it is common to see sea turtles. Other marine life frequently encountered includes rays (stingrays, bull rays, baby rays, angel sharks), barracudas, needlefish, parrotfish, and bogas.
At The Moray Eels Cave, dives typically start around 14-18 meters and can go down to a maximum depth allowed by your certification level. For intermediate divers, this is around 18 meters, while more experienced divers can explore the sandy bottom, potentially reaching depths of up to 35 meters.
Diving insurance is included in the Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, and Rescue Diver courses. For Guided Fun Dives, insurance is mandatory but not included, and clients are advised to contact the center if they do not have their own.
