Respuesta de Emergencia Inicial
El curso Emergency First Response en AlisioSub se imparte en un solo día y enseña primeros auxilios de atención primaria y secundaria: cómo asistir a una persona herida y gestionar situaciones que requieren una respuesta de emergencia básica. Es un requisito previo para el curso PADI Rescue Diver y el centro lo recomienda para cualquier persona, sea buceador o no. Las sesiones prácticas dan a los participantes tiempo de manos a la obra con las habilidades de respuesta de emergencia que cubre el curso. El paquete incluido cubre el material de estudio, el tiempo de instructor, las sesiones de práctica y la tramitación de la certificación. La edad mínima es de 12 años. No se requiere ninguna certificación de buceo previa; el curso está abierto también a quienes no bucean.

El curso PADI Rescue Diver en AlisioSub dura de 3 a 5 días y cubre la prevención de problemas y la gestión de emergencias en el buceo. El programa entrena a los participantes para reconocer el estrés y las señales de alarma en otros buceadores, responder ante buceadores en pánico o inconscientes en superficie y bajo el agua, y gestionar una emergencia de buceo de principio a fin. Es uno de los cursos que el centro destaca especialmente como exigente y gratificante. Las sesiones prácticas en aguas abiertas se realizan en aguas de Lanzarote, situando los escenarios de rescate en un entorno marino real y no en una piscina controlada. La combinación de acceso a inmersiones desde costa y en barco desde Puerto del Carmen hace que los ejercicios cubran condiciones realistas para el abanico de escenarios que aborda el curso. Los requisitos previos son una certificación Advanced Open Water Diver (o equivalente) con un mínimo de 20 inmersiones registradas, más un curso Emergency First Response o una cualificación vigente de RCP y primeros auxilios de los últimos dos años. La edad mínima es de 12 años. El paquete incluye material de estudio, equipo específico del curso, tiempo de instructor, sesiones de práctica en aguas abiertas y tramitación de la certificación PADI.

Félix is a large grouper who lives in the cave at La Catedral dive site, one of the most popular shore dives in Puerto del Carmen. The local guides know the site well and Félix is a reliable resident — sightings are frequent, though never guaranteed since he's a wild animal.
Yes. The center is recognized as an official operator by the Centros de Arte, Cultura y Turismo de Lanzarote. Their guides are specifically trained to work at the museum, which sits at 14m in the Bahía de Las Coloradas. A morning visit includes a second dive in the area; an afternoon visit is a single dive.
The Discover Scuba (Bautizo) and Open Water Diver course both have a minimum age of 10. Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver start at 12. Emergency First Response also requires a minimum of 12 years. Divemaster requires a minimum age of 18. Snorkeling excursions have no age limit.
All rental gear is from Aqualung and Apeks: WAVE BCDs, Atx40 regulators, 5.5mm Aqualung SAFAGA one-piece wetsuits, adjustable EXPRESS fins, and Aqualung masks and boots. The center describes all equipment as new.
