GustDive is the premier scuba diving school and sea adventures resort located in Puerto Vallarta, Mismaloya, and Cozumel, Mexico. With over 20 years of establishment in Mexico, GustDive is owned and operated by Gustavo Pitalua Dominguez, a highly reputed PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) known for his kindness, honesty, calmness, and professionalism. They offer a wide variety of underwater adventures and recreational diving certification courses, certified by PADI and SSI, tailored for all levels, from beginner to master, and suitable for both adults and children.
The center emphasizes personalized attention with small, intimate groups and a friendly, fun staff, prioritizing safety and enjoyment above all else. GustDive facilitates the exploration of the underwater world under the close supervision of highly qualified instructors, from Discover Scuba Diving experiences in confined waters (pool or shoreline) to more advanced explorations.
Divers gain access to a diverse range of dive sites in Puerto Vallarta, recognized as a main diving destination on Mexico's Pacific coast, and in Cozumel, one of the world's top destinations. These sites include everything from famous PADI-recommended spots to lesser-known, local-only gems, offering opportunities to encounter spectacular marine life such as giant manta rays, moray eels, humpback whales, whale sharks, dolphins, and sea turtles, as well as exploring caves, tunnels, arches, lagoons, and healthy reefs.
GustDive also provides a comprehensive selection of certification courses, including Advanced Open Water, Instructor Development Course, Wreck Diver, Boat Diving, and Snorkeling, an activity accessible to everyone. They feature a bar, swimming pool, equipment rental, dive shop, air fills (nitrox), and offer both shore diving and boat diving excursions. The center speaks Spanish and English.

The Discover Scuba Diving program at GustDive offers a unique opportunity to experience the underwater world for the first time. The practical portion of the experience takes place in controlled environments, either a swimming pool or the calm, shallow waters near the shore, ensuring a comfortable and secure introduction. Under the direct and expert guidance of a highly qualified PADI instructor, you will learn the fundamental skills necessary to breathe and move comfortably underwater. The primary focus is on safety and enjoyment, allowing you to truly feel the sensation of diving and observe marine life in its natural habitat. This program serves as an excellent gauge of your interest in scuba diving and provides a solid foundation for future underwater adventures. While this program does not result in a certification, the skills and experience gained during the Discover Scuba Diving program can be credited towards the PADI Open Water Diver course should you decide to pursue further scuba education. With an extensive selection of over 80 different courses, they cater to divers of all experience levels, from those embarking on their initial certification to seasoned individuals pursuing advanced ratings or professional development. The PADI Open Water Diver course serves as the foundational step for beginners, imparting essential skills and knowledge for safe diving up to 18 meters. For already certified divers, GustDive provides numerous specialty courses designed to build confidence and expand diving capabilities through personalized adventures, including deep diving, wreck exploration, and underwater photography. GustDive offers a wide range of activities including recreational scuba diving, PADI certification courses from beginner to instructor levels, snorkeling, whale and dolphin watching tours, and deep-sea fishing trips.
All scuba dives include masks, snorkels, fins, regulators, buoyancy control devices (BCD), dive computers or planners, scuba tanks, wetsuits or dry suits, weight systems, boat cruise, a certified dive master or instructor, and a certified captain. Light snacks of local fruits and bottled water are also provided.
