Plongée Club de Saint Claude

The Plongée Club de Saint-Claude, established in 1984 in Saint-Claude, FRA, is an association affiliated with the FFESSM, dedicated to underwater practice and training. From its facilities, it offers a wide range of activities near Lake Vouglans, particularly around the submerged abbey site of La Chartreuse. The club provides a safe and enriching diving experience for all diver levels, from beginners to technical divers.

The club operates its own boat with a capacity for 12 divers, facilitating access to points of interest such as the submerged abbey, where divers can explore medieval vestiges, majestic vaults, and monastic sculptures. Furthermore, the waters of Lake Vouglans are home to rich lacustrine life, including drop-offs, perch schools, catfish, and forgotten ruins, offering opportunities for surprising natural discoveries.

To ensure extended and safe dives, the Plongée Club de Saint-Claude is equipped with an air compressor and a nitrox/helium filling service. The club offers courses certified by SSI and CMAS/FFESSM, including Enriched Air Nitrox, Boat Diving, and Niveau 3 FFESSM. Its facilities include WiFi, a bar, equipment rental, air fills (nitrox), and airport transfer services, making it a comprehensive center for divers and water sports enthusiasts.

The Plongée Club de Saint-Claude invites curiosity to explore the fascinating underwater world. From spring to autumn, weekends are ideal for diving in the lake.
