About the Center
Diving & Combat is a dive center located in the picturesque town of Tossa de Mar on the Spanish Costa Brava. As a center certified by PADI, SSI, CMAS/FFESSM, and TDI, it offers a comprehensive range of diving courses for all levels, from Discover Scuba Diving to professional levels like the Instructor Development Course. They also provide training for Moniteur Fédéral.
The center's facilities include parking, lockers, a bar for relaxation, equipment rental, a dive shop, and air fills including nitrox. In addition, they organize guided dives to explore the rich underwater world of Tossa de Mar and offer airport transfer services, making it easier for divers to reach them from anywhere.
The center also stands out for its offering of more adventurous activities under the D&C Xtreme banner, which includes altitude diving, ice diving, and diving with a propelled vehicle (DPV). With multilingual staff speaking Spanish, English, and Catalan, Diving & Combat is dedicated to providing unforgettable and safe diving experiences in an exceptional marine environment.
Customers have the option to purchase dive insurance directly through the center. The center's operating hours are extensive, from Monday to Sunday, 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, ensuring accessibility for most diver needs.

OPEN WATER DIVER
The Padi Open Water Diver course is the initiation course to scuba diving. You will obtain an official PADI certification recognized throughout the world that will allow you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters. Five theoretical modules that you can study comfortably from home and five dives that you will do with the instructor once the theory is finished. The ideal is to do the practices in 3 days, and previously finish the theory at home. ADVANCED OPEN WATER
Exploration, emotion, experiences. This is what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. And no, you don't have to be "advanced" to do it (it's designed so you can access it directly after the PADI Open Water Diver course). The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase confidence and build your diving skills so you can feel more comfortable in the water. It's a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. It consists of five dives, two mandatory which are navigation and deep diving. SEA BAPTISM
Discover a new world with our diving baptism in Girona, on a beautiful beach in Tossa de Mar, on the Costa Brava. With the diving baptism you will know the sensation of breathing underwater and you will enjoy the bottom of the sea, always accompanied by our monitors. The activity lasts a total of 2 and a half hours. First, one of our monitors explains the equipment we use, underwater signals, safety regulations, etc., and once all doubts are cleared up, we will assemble equipment and go down to the beach with our van. The time in the water is normally between 45-50 minutes. We will always go in small groups to guarantee everyone's safety and maximum enjoyment. Minimum age 8 years with authorization. You must be in good health. Not having ear, respiratory or heart problems. It cannot be done by pregnant women. You cannot fly by plane until 12 hours after the baptism. RESCUE DIVER + EFR
“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building on what you've already learned, this course builds on what you already know about how to prevent problems and how to manage them if they happen. The fun part of this course is rising to challenges and mastering them. Most divers find this course challenging and rewarding, and in the end they say it is the best course they have ever taken. What will you learn? Self rescue. Recognize and manage stress from other divers. Equipment and emergency management. Rescue of panicked divers. Rescue of unconscious divers. CPR and First Aid: Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care First Aid and CPR are good skills for those involved in adventure sports – because of what might happen. And you need those techniques for the PADI Rescue Diver course. Emergency First Response is a PADI Partner that specializes in teaching these techniques (and doing it for anyone, not just divers). Most PADI Instructors are also Emergency First Response Instructors! The fun part of Emergency First Response training is that you learn serious emergency medical skills in an upbeat and positive environment. You gain the confidence you need to be prepared to help in an emergency. What you will learn in the EFR Courses of Primary Care and Secondary Care BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR and rescue breaths at a non-professional level. Use of the AED (automated external defibrillator) (optional) Prevention and treatment of shock. Management of spinal cord injuries. Use of barriers to reduce the risk of disease transmission. BUOYANCY
Divers who master the highest levels of buoyancy performance are given separate consideration. You've seen them underwater. They glide effortlessly, use less breathing gas, and ascend, descend, or hover motionless, almost in thought. They interact delicately with aquatic life and affect the environment minimally. The PADI Buoyancy Mastery course enhances the basic techniques you learned as a PADI Open Water Diver and takes them to the next level. NAVIGATION
Finding the way is not a matter of luck! When everyone else is whizzing over the reef or examining a sunken ship, they're having a great time – until it's time to go. Then they notice you, because as a PADI Underwater Navigator, you know the way back to the boat. Learn the use of an underwater compass in the PADI Underwater Navigation course. what will you learn Underwater navigation can be challenging, however with the PADI Underwater Navigation specialty course you will master that challenge. You will learn the necessary tools, including natural navigation with references and with a compass. You'll learn: Navigation layouts. Natural navigation (without compass). Compass navigation. How to “mark” or relocate a submerged object or position it from the surface. Raise an underwater map. How to follow irregular trajectories with the Nav-Finder. Relocation of a dive site. How to calculate distances underwater.
DRY SUIT
Dry suits allow you to dive in more challenging sites, while extending your diving season. When you wear the proper cold water diving clothing, you can battle the elements and generally benefit from the better visibility the winter months offer — especially at inland dive sites such as dams, lakes, sinkholes, caverns, etc. As a dry suit diver, you are equipped to dive some of the world's incredible dive sites in the coldest regions of the planet where a dry suit is best enjoyed even in its warmer months. what will you learn Acquire the knowledge and skills to safely dress, dive, remove and store the dry suit. Know the different types of suits so that you can make an informed decision if you decide to buy a dry suit. You will learn: Dry suit buoyancy control techniques. Dry suit maintenance, storage and basic repairs. Insulating undergarment options (wool or all types of undergarments worn under the drysuit). DIVEMASTER
If you like diving and want to be a professional diver, the Divemaster course is your first step. By doing the Divemaster course with us you will also get the Discover Scuba Diving Leader, two qualifications for the price of one. During the course you will learn everything you need to help instructors and direct activities on your own. We propose you to take a super complete course collaborating side by side in our center and learning from the best PADI instructors. We want to expand our staff, will you be our future Divemaster? What will you learn? During the PADI Divemaster program, you will learn dive leadership techniques through both classroom study and independently. You will perform techniques in the water and resistance exercises, you will also train with exercises that will increase your organizational and problem-solving skills as well as help others improve their diving. You will put this knowledge to work through a structured integration period or a series of hands-on training exercises. As you progress through your Divemaster course, you will expand your diving knowledge, refine your diving techniques and increase your confidence. Then, as a PADI Divemaster, you will use these attributes to guide, mentor and motivate other divers and to enjoy the exhilaration of watching them be transformed by the majesty of the aquatic world. What can you teach? Once certified as a PADI Divemaster you will be authorized to: • Supervise both training and non-training activities by planning, organizing and directing dives. • Assist a PADI Instructor during training sessions for any PADI scuba course. • Direct the PADI Skin Diver course and the PADI Discover Snorkeling program. • Lead the PADI Discover Local Diving experience. • Direct the PADI Sbuba Review program. • As you will also have the Discover Scuba Diving Leader certification with us, you will be able to independently direct the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program. • Achieve PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Instructor rating to teach the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty. • Independently guide Open Water Diver course students on the tour portion of the Open Water Diver course during Training Dives 2, 3 and 4 at a ratio of two student divers per certified divemaster. • Accompany Open Water Diver students under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor during: Surface swimming to and from entry/exit points and during navigation drills or when the instructor is leading an drill, such as an ascent or descent, a Divemaster may remain with the other student divers (with an individual student or with teammates). • Accompany student divers during Adventure Dives or Specialty Training Dives under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor. • Lead the PADI Seal Team AquaMission. • Direct subsequent dives of Discover Scuba Diving participants, under the indirect supervision of an instructor, after they have successfully completed the first dive with a PADI Instructor. • Teach Emergency First Response courses after completing the Emergency First Response Instructor course.
