Abysse Plongée

Abysse Plongée, established in 1975 in Vaulx-en-Velin, France, is one of Lyon's oldest diving clubs. With a strong emphasis on safety and conviviality, the club offers quality training under SSI certification. Their course offerings include Enriched Air Nitrox, Instructor Development Course, Freediving, and FFESSM levels up to Niveau 4 Guide Palanquée. Facilities include a bar, swimming pool, equipment rental, and air fills (nitrox).

The club places significant importance on effective teaching, which goes beyond simply passing levels, promoting regular training under the supervision of qualified instructors. Abysse Plongée is committed to providing its members with unique moments of underwater world wonder, friendship, and enjoyment. New projects for the 2025-2026 season include club trips, excursions, and marine floor protection initiatives.

Abysse Plongée welcomes both new and returning members to discover or share the discipline of diving. The club offers freediving training up to Niveau 2, as well as Niveau 1, 2, and 3 FFESSM courses, preparation for the "Guide Palanquée" role, and Nitrox diving.
