ASCEM Plongée Lyon

ASCEM Plongée Lyon is a volunteer-run scuba diving club located in Vaulx-en-Velin, France. Certified by SSI and CMAS/FFESSM, the club offers a comprehensive range of courses, from Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Diver to Instructor Development and Technical Diving. They also provide specialized courses such as Enriched Air Nitrox, Boat Diving, and Deep Diver, as well as the French federation levels Niveau 2 FFESSM and Niveau 3 FFESSM.

The club's facilities include a bar, a swimming pool for training and equipment rental, and air fills (including nitrox). Boat diving excursions are also a key feature. Theoretical and practical training takes place at the Centre Nautique de Bron, utilizing its facilities, including a 50-meter swimming pool. Practical sessions are conducted both in the pool and in open water, including sea and quarry dives.

ASCEM Plongée Lyon regularly organizes sea trips for exploration of the marine environment, fostering a sense of camaraderie and sharing a passion for diving. Participants learn dive planning, safety rules, equipment operation, and physical principles related to pressure. Practical training covers equipment use, immersion and buoyancy management, and underwater communication.

The club is affiliated with the Fédération Française d'Etudes et de Sports Sous-Marins (FFESSM) and boasts Federal Instructors (1st degree) and Dive Leaders (Niveau IV) to assist with technical and exploration dives. ASCEM Plongée Lyon is characterized by its active and passionate diving community, offering a complete and enriching experience for all levels.
