PADI Seal Team

The PADI Seal Team program at Ocean Turtle Diving offers a foundational water experience for young adventurers aged 8 and 9. This introductory course focuses on building comfort and basic skills in a controlled pool environment. Participants will engage in fun "AquaMissions" guided by a PADI Instructor, learning essential diving techniques such as breathing underwater, clearing a mask, and regulator recovery. These missions are designed to be engaging, incorporating underwater games that make learning enjoyable and effective. The program is structured to introduce children to the sensation of weightlessness and the wonders of the underwater world in complete safety.

Ocean Turtle Diving structures the PADI Seal Team into two tiers. The first tier, covering AquaMissions 1-5, certifies the child as a PADI Seal Team Member. This phase covers the fundamental skills needed to become comfortable with scuba equipment. The subsequent tier, PADI Master Seal Team, includes ten advanced AquaMissions. These missions introduce more complex concepts, such as using a dive flashlight to simulate night dives, exploring simulated wreckages, mastering buoyancy control, and understanding environmental awareness. Completing these advanced missions provides excellent preparation for the Junior Open Water Diver course upon turning 10.

Participants must be comfortable in the water and medically fit for diving. The program includes self-study via a PADI Seal Team workbook, featuring puzzles and log pages to reinforce learning. All in-water training is conducted in a pool, with each tier typically requiring one day to complete. This approach ensures a focused and progressive learning experience. Ocean Turtle Diving's commitment to safety and fun makes it an ideal place for children to begin their diving journey.
