Ocean Turtle Diving, located in La Herradura, Spain, is a PADI, SSI, and TDI certified dive center. It offers a comprehensive range of courses for all levels, from Discover Scuba Diving for beginners to the Instructor Development Course (IDC) for aspiring dive professionals. The training curriculum also includes certifications such as Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster.
Beyond training, Ocean Turtle Diving provides a complete diving experience. Facilities include showers, lockers, a bar, and accommodation for guests. El programa PADI Seal Team de Ocean Turtle Diving ofrece una experiencia acuática fundamental para los jóvenes aventureros de 8 y 9 años. Este curso introductorio se centra en generar comodidad y habilidades básicas en un entorno de piscina controlado. Los participantes realizarán divertidas "AquaMisiones" guiadas por un Instructor PADI, aprendiendo técnicas esenciales de buceo como respirar bajo el agua, vaciar la máscara y recuperar el regulador. Estas misiones están diseñadas para ser atractivas, incorporando juegos submarinos que hacen que el aprendizaje sea ameno y eficaz. Ocean Turtle Diving estructura el PADI Seal Team en dos etapas. La primera etapa, que cubre las AquaMisiones 1-5, certifica al niño como PADI Seal Team Member. The PADI Discover Scuba Diver program is a beginner scuba experience for people who have never dived before. You will learn basic scuba skills with a PADI professional and experience breathing underwater in a safe, controlled environment.
All training for the Discover Scuba Diver program at Ocean Turtle is conducted in a swimming pool. This allows you to learn and practice skills in calm, shallow, and controlled conditions.
Participants must be at least 10 years old. Anyone under 18 must have parent or guardian consent. If you are aged 8-9 years old you can complete the Seal Team Program.
The Open Water Diver course is the entry-level certification that allows you to dive independently (up to 18 meters, depending on local regulations) anywhere in the world. It covers the skills, knowledge, and safety procedures needed for safe recreational diving.
The course typically takes 3–4 days. Part A (theory and pool) can be compacted into one full day in London or spread over two days in Hampshire. Part B (open water dives) is spread over two days in lakes in the UK or at their dive centre in Spain.
To enrol on the PADI Divemaster course, you must be at least 18 years old, be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent), be a PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent), have Emergency First Response training within the last 24 months, have a minimum of 40 logged dives to start (60 to qualify), and be medically fit to dive with a doctor's signed questionnaire.
All training equipment is included if needed; however, Divemasters are expected to use their own full set of scuba diving equipment where possible. Ocean Turtle can help advise on and sell equipment packages.
