Rescue Diver is the course most experienced divers say changed how they see every subsequent dive. At 340€, Divers Diving runs it as both PADI Rescue Diver and FECDAS 3 Estrellas — the same dual-track approach they apply across the whole course ladder. The skills covered range from self-rescue and managing tired divers to more complex scenarios involving unconscious divers at the surface or underwater. On the Costa Brava, training scenarios can use real open-water conditions rather than a pool, which means current, reduced visibility and boat logistics are part of the context rather than abstractions. PADI typically requires Advanced Open Water and Emergency First Response (or equivalent first aid) before enrolling. EFER, the Emergency First Response course, is available separately at Divers Diving at a price on request, so it can be combined into the same training block if you need both. The course runs in Catalan, Spanish, English and French. This is the last recreational certification before Divemaster, and many instructors point to it as the most practically useful course in the PADI system — it changes your situational awareness on every dive you do after.

We issue certifications through both PADI and FECDAS. You can choose the track that suits you — PADI for an internationally portable card, or FECDAS if you want the Catalan federation credential.
From 10 years old, with parental or guardian permission. Note that PADI may set higher minimum ages for certain courses.
A guided dive is 38€ without equipment or 55€ with full gear. If you plan to dive regularly, a ten-dive bond brings the cost down to 330€ total (33€ per dive).
One of the main sites is La Llosa de Palamós — a wall and reef dive ranging from 10 to 30 meters, with visibility often above 20 meters and a good mix of Mediterranean species including grouper, moray eels, nudibranchs and crustaceans.
Basic swimming ability is enough. You need to feel comfortable and confident in the water, but you don't need to be a competitive swimmer.
Not automatically. Single-day insurance is available at 12€, and a full 2026 season insurance is 65€. We recommend taking at least the daily cover if you're not insured elsewhere.
Yes. Beach baptisms are 65€ and boat baptisms are 90€. The boat option takes you to offshore sites and gives a different first-dive experience.
Our team works in Catalan, Spanish, English and French. Most briefings and course materials can be delivered in whichever of those you prefer.
