Basic Diver

Description

The Basic Diver SSI scuba diving course is more than just a scuba diving baptism, although it does not certify you as a scuba diver. It is an ideal course for those people who believe that a scuba diving baptism is short and want a little more experience, but do not have enough time or motivation to do a full Open Water Diver course.

This course consists of online theory where you will learn the basic knowledge to introduce you to the world of scuba diving, and a theoretical review of these concepts with our instructor once you come to do the practical part. We want to make sure that you have assimilated the basic concepts well and are clear about the key notions, but also that you are able to identify certain situations that may compromise your safety and how to react to them. Then we will do 2 practice dives: a first to see sensations, aquaticitat and swimming, and practice the first exercises; and a second dive to work more on your buoyancy and gain confidence in the water enjoying its biodiversity.

Also, you already know that we are marine scientists so we don't want you to leave here without knowing a little more about marine biodiversity. How will we do it? Easy! During the course you will be given a small marine biology seminar to give you an idea of what you can see in the water and learn how to start identifying your first marine species.

At the end you will obtain a certificate that indicates that if in the following 6 months you do the Open Water Diver course, one of the two dives of our Basic Diver scuba diving course will be validated, and you will have a discount on the final price of the Open Water Diver course .
