tauchmalab est un centre de plongée jeune et passionné situé à Hanovre. Ils souhaitent partager leur enthousiasme pour le monde sous-marin, silencieux, vaste et coloré, avec leurs élèves à Hanovre et dans la région environnante, car ils sont convaincus que tout le monde peut apprendre à plonger.
Ce centre de plongée certifié SSI et TDI propose une gamme complète de cours pour tous les niveaux, de l'initiation "Discover Scuba Diving" aux formations avancées et spécialisées. Leur programme comprend des certifications essentielles telles que Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air Nitrox, Rescue Diver et Instructor Development Course. Pour ceux qui s'intéressent à la plongée technique, tauchmalab propose des cours certifiés TDI tels que TDI Nitrox Diver, TDI Intro to Tech, TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver, TDI Decompression Procedures et TDI Trimix Diver.
tauchmalab dispose d'excellentes infrastructures, dont une piscine pour la formation, des services de location de matériel et une boutique de plongée dédiée. Ils proposent également des remplissages d'air avec Nitrox et Trimix. De plus, le centre facilite la plongée en bateau, la plongée de nuit et les plongées guidées. Scuba Skills Update – Refresher
The Refresher at tauchmalab is open to any certified diver regardless of which agency certified them — OWD or higher, from any organisation. If you haven't been in the water for an extended period, this gets you back in shape before a trip. The scope is assessed case by case based on how long you've been out of the water and your prior experience. When registering, submit your certification and logbook so they can calibrate the session appropriately. At €79, it includes eLearning access, rental gear, one refresher dive, and a logbook entry confirming the session. It's the cheapest route back into active diving at tauchmalab, and the individual scheduling means it can be arranged around your departure date. The dive can be arranged on an individual basis after discussion with the school.
Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV)
The SDI DPV course teaches planning, organisation, technique, and hazard management for underwater scooter use. Overhead environment diving is explicitly excluded from this course — this is open-water DPV use only. The course includes theory on the specific DPV used, an exam, and two open water dives. tauchmalab notes that DPVs have particular relevance for divers with physical disabilities, which aligns with Phil's qualification in adaptive diving instruction. Minimum age is 18 (15 with written parental consent). Entry requires a certified Junior OWD or equivalent. Pricing is on application.

What people ask before booking
They teach under three agencies: SDI, TDI, and SSI. For recreational diving you choose between SDI and SSI. TDI covers the technical diving track. All three certifications are ISO-compliant and recognised worldwide.
From 10 years old with parental consent, you can do a Try Scuba session or start the Junior OWD. The standard OWD minimum without the Junior designation is 15.
Courses are individually scheduled — once you register they work with you to find dates that fit. There are no fixed course dates to slot into for most programmes.
€425 per person covers rental equipment (except mask, fins, and snorkel), pool sessions, four open water dives, a digital logbook, dive insurance, and digital certification on passing. Study materials are extra.
Yes — that's exactly what the Referral Diver course is for. You do theory and pool work at tauchmalab, then complete the four open water dives at a partner school abroad. They'll help you find a suitable partner base if needed.
Yes, they run regular dive trips. One mentioned trip goes aboard the M/Y Independence III on the Strait of Tiran route. If you book a Boat Diver course in combination with a tauchmalab trip, you get 10% off the course fee.
