The Open Water course typically takes 3 to 4 days. We schedule in small groups or one-on-one, allowing us to adapt the pace to your comfort. No stress, no rush. We dive at your pace.
Yes, you need basic swimming skills: be able to swim 200 meters (without a time limit) and tread water for 10 minutes. You don't need to be a top swimmer; being relaxed and comfortable in the water is most important.
Diving requires good health. Some medical conditions, like asthma or lung problems, can affect participation. To be sure, we ask you to fill out SSI's medical questionnaire. If in doubt, a doctor can sign the declaration.
Try Scuba is your first experience underwater, shallow and supervised, resulting in an introduction with no certification. Basic Diver involves your first real dives and basic skills at your own pace, with a certification valid for 6 months, allowing for a later upgrade. Open Water Diver is the complete beginner's course, resulting in a globally recognized dive certification, valid indefinitely, up to 18 meters deep.
Not much, everything you need is included, such as equipment and tanks. The only thing you need to arrange yourself is the STINAPA Nature Fee, which is mandatory for diving on Bonaire.
