Formation Enfant - Plongeur Bronze

The Niveau 1 is the standard entry certification in the FFESSM system and the main beginner course at Corsica Sub. It covers the 0–20m zone, which at Bastia opens access to a solid range of sites: La Louise (17m), the P-47 Thunderbolt (19m), A Strega (20m), and U Scogliu (22m just over the limit, but within reach with a Level 2 escort). These are not generic training reefs — La Louise is a 55m steam ship from 1860, the P-47 is a WWII fighter, and A Strega holds barracuda, octopuses, and giant fan mussels.

The course runs 3.5 days: five dives and one theory module. By the end, you can manage your equipment independently and move safely in the 0–20m zone. Equipment rental and certification fees are included in the 420€ price, which makes this one of the more complete packages in the programme. The minimum age is 12 years; minors need parental consent. A medical certificate of no contraindication dated within the past year is required.

Maud and Rémi run the sessions themselves, keeping groups at a size suited to a two-instructor team. The Niveau 1 is a prerequisite for the PA20 (autonomous diving to 20m) and the gateway into the PE40 and Niveau 2 pathways, which open the deeper wrecks and rocky pinnacles of Cap Corse.
