Plongeur de Bronze

The Plongeur de Bronze is the entry-level children's stage at Calvi Plongée, accessible from age 8. It runs over three dives at depths between 2 and 6 metres, with each session lasting approximately 30 minutes underwater. The ratio is 1 to 2 children per instructor throughout.

The programme covers equipment familiarisation, underwater communication gestures, basic safety exercises and guided exploration of Mediterranean fauna and flora at shallow depth. It's a structured first step rather than a one-off baptism — by the third dive, children are working through exercises in a consistent environment.

A medical certificate is required for the FFESSM variant; not required for ANMP. Certification costs 60€ additional, payable on obtaining the diploma. The first session is reserved online; subsequent dives are scheduled at the base.
