Description du Cours
The NITROX UP EAN 40 specialty course at ASD Giannutri provides divers with the essential knowledge and practical skills to safely utilize enriched air, specifically EAN 40. This specialized training is designed to extend your bottom times and significantly reduce nitrogen absorption during dives. It is particularly beneficial for those who frequently engage in multiple dives, such as during dive holidays, by enhancing safety margins and dive planning capabilities. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the advantages of breathing less nitrogen, learn how to effectively manage oxygen exposure limits, and master the procedures for accurately analyzing the oxygen content in their cylinders. The course curriculum includes a practical session focused on these techniques and culminates in two open water dives. During these dives, students will practice setting their dive computers for enriched air and applying the learned safety protocols. This specialty requires participants to be at least 15 years of age and hold an Open Water Diver certification or equivalent, along with a valid medical certificate.
ASD Giannutri offers this specialty, allowing divers to explore the waters with greater efficiency and safety. While the provided climate data shows average air temperatures ranging from 3°C in January to 24.6°C in August, the specific conditions for the practical dives will be assessed by the instructors to ensure optimal learning and safety. The center's commitment to diver education is reflected in its affiliation with reputable agencies such as CMAS, IDEA, and SSI, ensuring a high standard of training. The Italian language is spoken at the center, catering to local and international divers seeking specialized training in a familiar linguistic environment.
This course is a logical progression for divers looking to maximize their underwater exploration time. By mastering the use of EAN 40, you unlock the potential for longer bottom times on repetitive dives, allowing for more in-depth exploration of dive sites. The skills acquired are directly applicable to many recreational diving scenarios, especially in locations where multiple dives per day are common. It builds upon the foundational knowledge gained in your Open Water Diver course and prepares you for more advanced diving activities by increasing your understanding of gas physiology and dive planning. The focus on enriched air technology is a key step in developing advanced diving competencies and enjoying longer, safer dives.
