Description du Cours
The Molchanovs Wave 2 certification, equivalent to AIDA 3, is offered by Plongée Phocéenne, providing advanced freedivers with the skills to safely explore depths between 24 and 30 meters. This course focuses on refining technique, enhancing breath-hold capabilities, and mastering equalization, all within a structured learning environment. You will learn to optimize movement economy and experience the sensation of freefall, a key element in deeper dives. The certification process emphasizes advanced safety protocols and the development of buddy autonomy, ensuring a secure and progressive learning experience. This advanced training is designed for those who have successfully completed Wave 1 or an equivalent certification.
Key performance indicators for Wave 2 include achieving a static apnea (STA) of at least 2 minutes 30 seconds, dynamic apnea with fins covering 50 meters, and dynamic apnea without fins reaching 35 meters. For depth, you will train in Constant Weight Bi-Fins and Free Immersion to 24-30 meters, and Constant Weight No Fins up to 15 meters. The course introduces and practices freefall, a critical skill for efficient descent. Advanced safety and rescue procedures are also a significant component, with practical application for buddying up to 10-15 meters.
Upon successful completion, you will be certified to freedive to 30 meters with increased comfort and fluidity. You will also be equipped to act as a reliable and safe buddy for other freedivers and gain access to the Molchanovs Wave 3 training. Plongée Phocéenne ensures a high-quality learning experience with small groups, guaranteeing personalized attention from a certified Molchanovs instructor. The center utilizes a boat equipped with a specialized freediving pole for enhanced safety and comfort during open water sessions. The teaching methodology prioritizes relaxation and mental preparation, crucial aspects of advanced freediving.
Courses are available from May to October, with sea temperatures averaging around 17°C, though warmer months like July and August see averages of 24.3°C and 25.3°C respectively, making them ideal for training. All necessary freediving equipment, including a wetsuit, fins, mask, snorkel, and weights, is provided. Participants are advised to bring swimwear, a towel, and other personal items.
