SSI Diver Stress & Rescue

The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue course at Brothers Diving trains you to spot problems before they escalate and to manage genuine emergencies in and around the water. It sits at the more serious end of the Brothers Diving curriculum, but the centre describes it as both rigorous and genuinely fun — the combination of real-world skills with scenario-based practice tends to produce that effect.

The programme covers stress recognition, accident prevention, in-water rescues, and post-incident care. Practical sessions run in both confined and open water, working through realistic emergency scenarios with Brothers Diving's instructors guiding and evaluating. Completion earns the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification.

This course is a standard prerequisite for the Divemaster programme, which Brothers Diving also offers in full.
