Bull Shark Dive (Seasonal)

Embark on an extraordinary seasonal encounter with bull sharks in their natural habitat off the coast of Playa del Carmen. This specialized dive, available approximately from November to March, offers a unique opportunity to observe pregnant bull sharks as they frequent these waters. The experience takes place at a controlled depth of 24 meters (79ft), where divers position themselves motionless on the seafloor. This allows for close observation of the sharks' typically docile and inquisitive behavior, providing a stark contrast to common media portrayals and highlighting peaceful coexistence.

Following the thrilling bull shark interaction, the adventure continues with a second dive at a nearby shallow reef site. This provides a different perspective on the local marine ecosystem. To participate in the Bull Shark Dive, divers must hold at least an Advanced Open Water certification with a minimum of 10 logged dives. The package includes essential equipment rental such as mask, regulator, wetsuit, BCD, and fins. It also covers the marine park fee, boat with filled air tanks and weights, drinking water, and small snacks. A professional guide instructor will lead the dive, ensuring safety and optimal viewing conditions at the designated seafloor spot. Transportation to Cocobeach is not included, and Nitrox is available for certified divers at an additional cost.
