Description du Cours
The Nitrox specialty course at Cyprea Plongee is designed to equip recreational divers with the knowledge and skills to safely utilize enriched air nitrox (EANx) as a breathing gas. This specialization focuses on understanding the benefits of diving with a higher oxygen percentage, which allows for extended bottom times and reduced surface intervals between dives. Participants will learn the fundamental principles of gas laws, the potential risks associated with oxygen toxicity, and the critical procedures for analyzing the oxygen content of nitrox cylinders. The curriculum is structured to ensure divers can confidently plan and execute dives using EANx, enhancing their overall diving experience.
This course delves into the practical aspects of nitrox diving, including how to calculate Equivalent Air Depths (EAD) to manage oxygen exposure and nitrogen absorption effectively. You will gain proficiency in using nitrox dive tables or dive computers for dive planning, ensuring adherence to safety limits. The theoretical instruction covers gas mixtures, dive planning strategies, and emergency protocols specific to nitrox. The goal is to provide a solid foundation for divers looking to optimize their dives, particularly for repetitive dives or when aiming for longer durations underwater, all while maintaining the highest safety standards. This certification is offered in conjunction with FFESSM standards.
Cyprea Plongee is a certified dive center recognized by both FFESSM and PADI, indicating a commitment to high training standards. The center offers instruction in multiple languages, including English, French, and Portuguese, catering to a diverse international clientele. While specific details on instructor-to-student ratios or dive boat specifics are not provided, the center's affiliation with reputable agencies suggests a focus on quality training. The Google rating of 5 stars, based on available reviews, reflects a high level of customer satisfaction with their services and training programs.
Completing the Nitrox specialty is a logical next step for divers seeking to maximize their time underwater and reduce physiological stress. It directly complements foundational certifications like Open Water Diver, enabling participants to apply their new skills on subsequent dives. This course unlocks the potential for more efficient and enjoyable diving, especially in environments where multiple dives are planned within a day. By mastering the use of enriched air, divers can significantly improve their dive profiles and gain more bottom time, making it a highly valuable addition to their diving education.
