Formation Niveau 2

The FFESSM Level 2 training at Cypréa Plongée in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer is designed for certified Level 1 divers seeking greater autonomy and exploration capabilities. This advanced course qualifies participants to dive under supervision to 40 meters (PE40) and autonomously with a buddy to 20 meters (PA20), significantly expanding the range of dive sites accessible. The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge, pool training, and practical open water dives. A minimum of 10 dives from the program schedule is mandatory to complete the course.

Training sessions are structured throughout the year, from September to April. Monday evenings are dedicated to pool training, reinforcing essential skills in a controlled environment. The program also includes technical dives in natural settings or a dive pit, exposing students to varied conditions. Theoretical lessons, approximately 1.5 hours each, are scheduled during weekdays based on instructor and student availability, culminating in a final written assessment. The course fee of €215 covers club membership, FFESSM license with 'Loisir 1' insurance, theoretical and practical instruction, and the loan of club equipment such as BCDs, regulators, and tanks.

Participants are required to provide their own personal gear, including fins, mask, snorkel, a surface marker buoy, dive computer, and weights with a belt, along with a personal wetsuit. Additional costs apply for technical weekends (€150 each), the dive pit session (€28), and the mandatory 5-day final stage in April at Port de la Madrague (€550, including 10 dives, accommodation, and meals, excluding travel). Prerequisites include a CACI medical certificate and a commitment to attend all scheduled sessions. A minimum of 10 dives post-Level 1 validation is necessary, with a potential evaluation dive required.

This Level 2 certification represents a significant progression in a diver's journey, opening doors to more complex underwater environments and experiences worldwide. It builds upon the foundational skills acquired in Level 1, fostering confidence and competence for deeper and more independent exploration. Priority is given to existing Cypréa Club Level 1 divers, ensuring a cohesive learning group. Pre-registration for the course typically opens in late July, allowing ample time for planning.
