Description du Cours

The RIFAP (Réaction Face à un Accident de Plongée) certification is a specialized course designed to equip divers with critical emergency response skills. This FFESSM-affiliated training focuses on managing and reacting effectively to diving accidents, ensuring participants can provide vital assistance in critical situations. It is a mandatory requirement for higher FFESSM diplomas like Initiator, Level 3, and Level 4, and is highly recommended for all certified divers seeking to enhance their safety knowledge. Cypréa Club offers this essential training, ensuring you are prepared for any eventuality underwater.

The curriculum covers a comprehensive range of theoretical and practical modules. Key learning areas include effective communication during an incident, securing a victim, recovering the dive group, coordinating rescue operations, assessing a victim's condition, and administering appropriate first aid. Participants will also learn how to alert emergency services using VHF radio or mobile phones. The objective is to ensure every diver understands their role and can act decisively when an accident occurs.

Cypréa Club conducts one RIFAP training session annually, typically scheduled over several evenings in October to avoid conflicts with other courses. The program is delivered by qualified RIFAP instructors from the club, guaranteeing a high standard of instruction. The course structure blends theoretical knowledge with practical exercises designed to simulate realistic emergency scenarios, providing hands-on experience in a controlled environment.

This specialized training is indispensable for advancing your diving education and ensuring the safety of yourself and others. By mastering these emergency procedures, you gain the confidence to handle unforeseen circumstances. The RIFAP certification is a testament to your commitment to diving safety and preparedness, making you a more valuable member of any dive group. It is a crucial step for anyone aspiring to higher levels of diving certification or simply wishing to be a more responsible diver.
